Gene is a former director and current representative for the Contemplative Society, which has been a supportive member of the ISC since its incorporation in 2004. The Contemplative Society is an inclusive non-profit association that encourages a deepening of contemplative prayer based in the Christian Wisdom tradition, while also welcoming and being supportive of other meditation traditions. Gene was a director of the ISC from 2015 to Fall 2017.
